Mental Health is one the largest challenges for Global Public Health with 1 in 4 adults experiencing mental health issues. Qwell is a new commissioned service available in County Durham and is aimed at supporting education staff with their mental health.
Qwell understands that teachers need a supportive place away from the workplace. Qwell offers education staff across County Durham anonymous access to a range of support such as:
- One-to-one Chats with qualified counsellors (7 days a week, Mon-Fri 12noon-10pm, Sat -Sun 6pm-10pm)
- A 24hr messaging service
- Access to information and signposting materials
- Ability to set personal goals and complete diary journals
- Opportunity to share stories through an online magazine
- Start and join conversations through online forums
365 days of the year and 24/7 All Education staff in County Durham can now access Qwell without the waiting lists or thresholds often associated with traditional services. Signing up anonymously is really simple and can be done by visiting Qwell. We would encourage all education staff to have a look through the online platform and if you need to speak to someone a member of the Qwell team will be available.
