Mental Health and Wellbeing Calendar: Autumn 2021

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families have released a new resource to support staff with a calendar of curriculum themes and occasions linked to mental health for the 2021-22 Autumn term. The resources comes with activity ideas and free resources for each theme and can be downloaded following the link.

By having knowledge of upcoming awareness days, and points where anxiety and stress may increase, this can help you plan your wellbeing activity for the term. This calendar includes information on awareness days and points of stress in the autumn term, with activity suggestions and free resources for each date. Some of the awareness days included are:

  • World Mental Health Day
  • World Teacher’s Day
  • National Coming Out Day
  • International Stress Awareness Week
  • Anti-bullying Week
  • Black History Month
  • 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

This resource is designed for use by education staff across primary, secondary, post-16 and further education settings.
